Grammy Notes
The evening's most rock & roll party unfolded in a former convent in Silver Lake, where Virgin/Capitol got its glam on. Daft Punk DJ'd, and each room featured food of a different land: Japanese, Middle Eastern, Southern. At least one of the guests offered treats of another sort: PCP-laced joints, which were passed to some unsuspecting attendees. On a more wholesome note, Beck mingled with Twiggy Ramirez, No Doubt and actor Billy Zane, who was presented with a birthday cake by Virgin vice chairman Nancy Berry. Bijou Phillips made the rounds, showing off her new black eye. Don't worry, though; she will heal, as will we all.
